Taking Care of Business

Mr. Ephemera invited me into his meme lair. Here are the rules of the house: Bloggers must post these rules and provide eight random facts about themselves. In the post, the tagged blogger tags eight other bloggers and notify them that they have been tagged.

Sounds simple enough, but its ripe for screwing up somehow. Anyway, here are my random facts.

1) I often agree with Scott Walters and I'm afraid to admit it publicly.

2) I wanted to be a professional wrestling journalist once, a long, long time ago.

3) I love T.S. Eliot so much that I can recite The WasteLand from memory. When visiting the Berlin in 2000, I found myself chanting it while walking through the Tiergarten.

4) I believe I was a religious fundamentalist in a past life and have had to deal with the karma of it in this life.

5) During summer, I'm usually addicted to one kind of food. I will eat this food every day, in mass quantities.
2003 - Mangoes
2004 - Yogurt with honey
2005- Soymilk with powered protein
2006 - Celery and peanut butter
2007 is still undetermined, though I'm leaning towards boring bagels and butter.

6) Despite keeping an online blog, I don't want people to know anything about me. But then, I do because I keep this blog going. So if that doesn't make me some kind of head case, I don't know what does.

7) I hate the current culture. I have no idea who is in the Top 10 in much of anything, besides books. Rather than live in the current time period, I'd much rather live in the 40s. In my goofier moments, I wonder if consciousness could serve as a time machine so I could experience events from earlier times. If humans spent more time developing our minds and less time with "stuff," the world would be a different place.

8) I used to eat dog food, crisco, Elmer's Glue, and Velveeta Cheese when I was a kid. Yes, I consider Velveeta to be in the same class as the other stuff.

So, Adam, Alnisa, Patrick, Isaac, Malachy, Joshua, James, Owentew... Sorry, but you're it. And don't send this thing back to me a month from now. I'm running out of deep, dark secrets.

Love the list. (I didn't even know there are professional wrestling journlists). (I'm all for addictions to ice cream.) And now I guess I've got to think up my own (and you tagged a lot of the people that I was going to tag...)

I used to write about pro wrestling for CBS Sportsline. When I read what you posted, I nearly died of joy/pain/recognition.

I've participated.

You didn't specify, but I assume you meant you've had good karma for being a religious fundamentalist, right? :-)

And uh, what are the rules we have to post?

Oh, that's at the beginning. "Bloggers must post these rules and provide eight random facts about themselves. In the post, the tagged blogger tags eight other bloggers and notify them that they have been tagged."

Ah, got it. Mine's up!

We're into cherries this year.

Okay, mine's up. I expect this to relieve me from meme duty for at least one pass. Enjoy.
